THE PREMISE
Georgia Power is mandated by the government to provide energy-saving tips to their customers—but nobody wants another boring PSA. YAH Agency came to us with a bold concept: turn energy savings into a race. A multi-generational household competing to see who could save the most energy throughout their home, all squeezed into a :30 second spot.
THE PROBLEM
We had 3 days to capture multiple demographics, dozens of energy-saving actions, and a sense of playful competition—all in a single location to stay within budget. The creative ambition? Cram an entire house-wide scavenger hunt, meaningful character moments, and clear energy-saving tips into 30 seconds without it feeling rushed or confusing. That single location had to become multiple "worlds" of energy savings while maintaining visual variety and story flow.
OUR SOLUTION
We found a single home that could serve as our entire universe, meticulously scouting every room to maximize visual variety. Working closely with our director, we designed action sequences that felt spontaneous and competitive while clearly demonstrating each energy-saving tip—the race format gave us permission to move fast and maintain energy throughout. We integrated still photography seamlessly into the production schedule and used quick cuts, split-screens, and reaction shots to pack maximum information into minimal time. The result? A :30 spot that feels like a :60, packed with energy, personality, and actionable tips audiences actually remember.
